HK Prizma Riga is an ice hockey team in Riga, Latvia. They have competed in the Latvian Hockey League since 1998, and played in the Eastern European Hockey League from 2001-2003.
HK Prizma Riga was founded in 1998 and first took part in the Latvian Hockey League. Between 2001 and 2003 the team played in the B Division of the Eastern European Hockey League. In the 2002-03 season, they played in the Pirma Liga, the second level Latvian league, and finished in third place.[1]
In the 2003-04 season, the club was part of the sports school of Helmut Balderis under the name BHS Prizma/Riga 86, and finished in seventh place.[2] For the 2004-05 season, the club returned to the second league, while the U18 team participated in the Latvian U18 Hockey League.
In the 2008-09 season, the team merged with Hanza Riga, forming HS Riga/Prizma-Hanza. The combined club finished in sixth place in 2008-09.
